Olafsdottir has over 20 years experience in directing and producing in the television and film industry. Before founding Klikk Productions, she has worked as a producer, director, assistant director and TV host for broadcasting stations including the Icelandic National Broadcasting Service (RUV) and Channel 2. She has a master degree in International Relations of London School of Economics. Olafsdottir is the guardian of the Icelandic National Committee of UNIFEM and was in charge of UNIFEM's fundraising campaign, The Butterfly Week, in 2008. The total funds raised in Iceland during the campaign resulted in one of the largest single contributions by a National Committee in the history of UNIFEM. “Love Is In the Air” (Olafsdottir as a producer) was nominated Best Documentary of the Year at Edda Awards (The Icelandic Film and TV Awards). “Children” (Olafsdottir as an executive producer) was nominated for seven Edda Awards including Film of the Year, Screenplay of the Year, Director of the Year. Best film award at the Golden Swan, Copenhagen International Film Festival (Denmark). “Children” also received Best Film Award at Transylvania International Film Festival (Romania), Best Screenplay at Edda Awards. “Parents” (Olafsdottir as an executive producer) received six Edda Awards including Film of the Year, Screenplay of the Year, Director of the Year. . . . .
