“Shanghai Kiss” (2007) overview

A witty and sensitive young man unwittingly finds himself involved with Adelaide, a 16-year-old girl (Hayden Panettiere). Liam spends his time between Adelaide and his buddy Joe (played by Joel David Moore). Meanwhile, Liam has a troubled relationship with his father (played by James Hong). Liam learns he has inherited his grandmother's home in Shanghai. The American-raised guy moves to China in an attempt to connect with his ancestry, leaving behind quite possibly the only girl who has ever loved him. In Shanghai, city of modern skyscrapers and old hovels, Liam meets Micki, a lovely young Chinese woman (played by Kelly Hu). Liam decided to stay in Shanghai with Micki but...
