Kosovo Cinematography Center
The Kosovo Cinematography Center (Qendra Kinematografike e Kosoves) (KCC) was established in 2004 as a public funding body and central authority for cinematography in charge of developing the film industry in Kosovo. KCC has its Statute approved by the Minister of Culture. Kosovo Cinematography Center management structure: Managing Board and Director Director of KCC is Arben Zharku. Managing Board: Veton Nurkollari, Chair Zana Radogoshi Irena Cahani Valon Kashtanjeva Hazir Haziri Managing Board approves and subsidies film projects on the basis of selection from the Jury and the report from Financial Commission. Kosovo Cinematography Center in accordance with its approved budget opens an annual bid for film projects. KCC is continuously striving to receive broader international recognition for the Kosovo films and filmmakers. KCC is presented at the European Film Market in Berlin and the Village International in Cannes as well as at various other European film markets and festivals. There are 65 production companies and a union of film artists with 200 members in Kosovo. KCC encourages foreign production companies in co-producing with Kosovo and supports the local film production financially as well as facilitating the national development of film distribution and education.
